Cellular respiration and wellbeing
Volume Two looks into the science of cellular respiration and why this matters for our wellbeing.
The complete guide
Where Volume One explores the why, and invites a return to functional breathing, Volume Two gives you a more nuanced why and even more of the how — to utilise breathwork in a bioindividual way, to suit your needs, your life.
Volume Two looks into the science of cellular respiration and why this matters for our wellbeing.
What stress is, why it causes so much harm and how to manage it well. It also looks at trauma and what trauma-informed means, encouraging a resilience focus and the use of breathwork and psychotherapeutic modalities to enable trauma liberation.
The specifics of breathwork for women and how it can be optimised for varying hormonal flows, pregnancy and childbirth, as well as the maternal dyad. This chapter was written with a number of collaborators, all listed below.
Sports-specific breathwork for marginal gains and sustainable peak performance, and a deep exploration of the 'spiritual' or transpersonal elements of breathwork.
Together the two volumes are a complete guide to practicing sophisticated breathwork. We wanted to provide an in-depth understanding of breath and respiration before giving the practices, because too many people are performing simplified breath formulas that are ineffective at best, sometimes harmful at worst.
Having a complete picture will better prepare anyone working with breath for the reality of complex cases that will present themselves, and grant the knowledge and the tools to be able to work well with any client.
Volume Two will be in book shops and available worldwide very soon.
